This facility and that message, Improvement After Movement, is the result of an intensely focussed 16 month period from early 2005 to mid 2006. I was 23, had been  successful in business, but didn't know why I was doing it, so I stopped, and set about  creating the simplest, most effective improvement program I could, then give it away.

I sold my home I first bought when I was 20, it was the only way I could see it through. (More than $100,000 of my own money and thousands of hours went into this project)

Beginning with the end in mind

I am enjoying watching Melbourne Storm's new stadium being built, It's one of the first things I see every morning when I wake up. This is what the end product will look like by mid next year.

We weren't born to follow. The opposite is true too

As I was watching Bon Jovi's video clip a few days ago, I got to thinking, what phenominal leaders he selected for it, past and present.

Then I had the thought, for those leaders to get to their position of leadership, they each must have followed some other great leaders before them.

That song title could also be called, We were born to follow, because from my research into history, the very best leaders have been the very best followers.

When I am perfectly clear, what is is what i want

This is my favourite quote from Byron Katie's work, it has sat on my bed side table for I can't remember how long.

If you can get your head around it, and be comfortable with it 24/7, you're doing better than me.

I am further down the path with it now, which is the main thing I guess.

This weekend starts the next chapter in my life, I've moved from 225 to sunshine, literally.

I can't wait to get back into the lifestyle of rising with the sun, I had it on the Gold Coast for 12 months in my unit overlooking the ocean, and now I've got it in Melbourne with the MCG and surrounding stadiums.

  

When i went to pick up boxes for packing yesterday morning, this song came on the radio, I was actually at a red light.  

There was a bus on the other side of the road, directly in front of me, it's title was:

220 Sunshine (made me smile, hope it does you too)

I wanna live, I wanna give....

On December 15, 2008, Neil Young performed his classic, Heart Of Gold.

About a month or so ago, a booking was made for me to see one of the leading Hip specialists in Australia, on December 15, 2009.

When I was 17, my body fell apart, and for the next six months or so, just rolling over in bed used to send a sharp up through my back. It all started in my right hip, I felt my first bit of discomfort on the right side of my hip, lower back area when I was 15 or so.

I really hope December 15, 2009, goes down as a life changing day in my life, it'll make the next day, December 16, my dad's birthday, (he would have been turning 64 that day) a really enjoyable day for me, the only reason I have the appointment is because dad was such mad fan of the Carlton footy club.

My response to a couple of messages from people asking for help with their eating disorder

I've received a few emails recently from people suffering with an eating disorder, which is nothing more than a thinking disorder, it's exactly the same thing as addiction to alcohol, drugs, whatever it is for you.

What do you make of this drive through the Melbourne bushfire area?

This was a photo album I put together on my Facebook account yesterday.

225 is the unit number I've lived in for the past 12 months in Melbourne. (under 000 on Ambulance image, click on each pic to make them full size)

I found myself driving behind this ambulance for about 15-20 minutes on the way to Kinglake today, it's one of the worst affected areas hit by the bushfires. (We're stationary in this photo at roadworks, just in case you think I'm tail gating...)

I couldn't believe how much land was burned up.

The Aussie flag (3rd image) really stood out in this backdrop, the wind was really howling, gives you an idea how fast the fires could spread with this kind of force moving it.

What do they say is at the end of a rainbow? A pot of gold I think.

That first ambulance I drove behind, over an hour later, probably more like an hour and a half, after my Chiro appt, I found myself driving behind again, this time on my way back home.

About a minute later, that white car scooted up the side of the ambulance, leaving me back behind it again.

Through this website ImprovementAfterMovement.com you'll find a piece of gold, I'm not that smart, that message Improvement After Movement simply came to me one day, I was actually laying face up in one of the Sports Super Centre pools at Runaway Bay, just after swimming laps in 2006.

I had no idea the power of this simple message until a few months later, and as Forrest Gump would say, 'and that's all I've got to say about that'.

Looks like blue skies and a whole lot of green ahead, was a spin out seeing the number 225 again, maybe it's just a co-incidence.

Everytime I see an ambulance I say something to myself that keeps me moving, remembering why I'm doing what I'm doing.
